My research project is currently very frustrating, because my topic is very broad and there are multiple factors that play a role in the rise of obesity. It hasn't gone as well as I had hoped, but with a topic as broad like mine, I can understand why. I learned a lot about my topic. The main challenge I faced is coming to the conclusion that lower income families are more vulnerable to the rise of obesity, and that healthy foods are often more expensive to buy, so more families choose to buy and consume something much less expensive. I had to find a lot of evidences through famous books and good sources on the internet to back that theory up.

The feeling of being ashamed, is classified by multiple factors. My definition of shame, is when a person feels a sense of tension, or embarrassment of something. A person might feel ashamed simply because of a example, a wardrobe malfunction. I know I've had my fair share of wardrobe gone wrong, from slipping into mud to pants ripping, which made me feel insecure and ashamed to return to my classroom. A person could also feel ashamed because of a wrong decision they've made, which resulted in a downfall to them. That decision could impact the people around them, tremendously.

In this generation, most people at one point, want to dine in to something delicious and fast. The problem with that is, people have to eat in moderation when it comes to semi-unhealthy meals. With school and parents working, it is sometimes hard to find time to cook a hearty meal that is also good for you.
Since students from kindergarten to twelfth grade have an advantage in school to consume a healthy meal, they should take it, not alter it. Typical lunch meals include vegetables, proteins, and vitamin milks.
Relating to this, removing soda, ice cream, and other junk food should be banned from school vending machines. During school lunch, every student of all ages should receive a healthy, nutritious meal. I don't believe a person should add a bag of takis, kettle chips,or rice crispies, which has over 200 calories in 1 bar to that meal. Eating these junk foods not only is bad for you, but it defiets the whole purpose of a attempt to eat a nutritious meal. Many teenagers, including myself, will still eat junk foods daily. I just believe that, we should take a time out of the day to have a good, nutritious meal if we know we will consume "McDonalds" or "Original Lays Chips" later that day.

I currently have a internship at A.S. Johnston Elementary. I help cook foods for children, and make sure the food is safe. To ensure it is safe, I have to cook the food in the proper temperature and see how long it can be left out, before it goes bad. I also prep sacks of breakfast sandwiches for the next day. Before lunch service, cartons of milk need to be in the refrigerator at 41 degrees or less. Any meat related food, like hamburgers, chicken nuggets and/or sandwich, are ready for service if checked at 165 degrees for 15 seconds. Knowing your way around the kitchen is important too. Sanitation buckets, and wipes are important for preventing pathogens, and/or salmonella on the lab station.
My experience doesn't support Halperin's conclusions. Being in a culinary-related internship is really stressful. I like getting paid for the work I do. Don't get me wrong, getting experience is great too. In my case, I need the money I earn for future college expenses. If I didn't have the worry of college expenses, I would consider working for free, only to get experience for future related  jobs.

A immediate factor that might have caused the brawl on the baseball field shown in the photo, could possibly be tension between 2 or more opposing team mates. This leads to other teammates verbally getting involved, to show their support of their fellow teammate, aside from their opposing one.
A remote factor that might have caused the brawl on the baseball field shown in the photo, could possible be a teammate intentionally hitting a opposing teammate, but accidentally hitting another man. This leads to that man hitting another man, and so on.

Journal Entry
One way to prevent situations like the picture shown of the baseball brawl, is making a contract where each players of a baseball team sign their name to not intentionally start a fight using their fists, bats, feet (kicking) etc. If they abuse that rule, they will not be allowed to play in the game.
Another way to prevent situations like the picture shown of the baseball brawl, is giving a mandatory of 50 community service hours to complete, to players who engage in a fight and/or start it. The hard core completion of community service, will allow baseball players to think twice before engaging in a brawl.

There is not much difference between the duty of work my mother and my father undertake. My mother is a foreign language teacher. She's the one who wakes all my family members up for prayer and for school, no matter how tired she may be. She takes my other sisters and I to school every morning, and makes all health appointments for my father, as well as dropping my sisters off to school when she needs the car. She buys all groceries, and makes my family of 8 dinner every afternoon.
On the other hand, my father's duty is somewhat similar to my mothers. My father has been sick for about 6 years now, but he still works to provide for us everyday.  He takes care of all expenses of the house. He makes sure he has payed all utility bills, car part replacements, insurance etc.
But the biggest duty that my parents have succeeded in, is supporting my sisters and I every day, and noting the fact that if you work hard and get good grades, you'll always be successful in the future.

Dear Grandma,
How are you? Hope everything is well! I miss you tremendously since Sophomore year when you last visited me. I always think of you daily. I wish you were here with me now, to experience my last year of high school. I feel so grown up now that in less than 1 year, I will head off to college. My school schedule is pretty good, however my core classes are challenging. I'm too in the process of trying to join more organizations/clubs.
Since I didn't do a lot of school service, I want to make the most of my senior year. I would love to look back on great memories. We actually had a fire alarm last week that went off when I was on my way to the restroom. It was so funny grandma, because it was so quiet in the hallway, when suddenly I was crowded with tremendous amounts of people speed walking out the school doors.
But anyways, senior year is starting off good. Send me back tons of letters and write often! Love you!

Best Regards,
Sana Ahmed Abuhandara

Dear Chef Lowrie,

How are you? Hope your day is going well. Its been about two years since you've last seen me. I'm a senior in high school now. I've been actually trying to find a senior culinary internship outside of school. It hasn't gone so well these past few weeks. I get interviews, but in the end it never works out. I have no idea why, but I keep applying for more jobs.
I've also been to the counselors office about 5 times since school started. Some reasons are because of class changes, others are because my request for a senior out.  So I guess you can say my senior experience so far is a little hindering. Hopefully it gets better. On the bright side, I did find out that I am applicable for the senior out! And on top of that, I recently applied to Intern for Irving ISD. Since I am a enrolled student of the district, I pray that they are impressed with me, and what I can bring to the table. What I can say that I will love this year, is that every other day I can leave at around 12:00 . Hooray for me right?! If I get hired for this job at Irving ISD, I can work more hours, which is great.

Till next time,
Sana Ahmed Abuhandara
